New country, new nest

An expat couple wanting to settle in Brussels called upon BuyerSide to find the ideal apartment for them and their family. Objective: to find a spacious home in a lively district near public transport.

Not a minute to lose

The couple very quickly found just what they wanted: a lovely apartment put up for sale the previous day by two agencies which risked being snapped up at any time. So BuyerSide had to act immediately to give the couple a chance to obtain the home they liked so much.

After an initial visit, BuyerSide prepared the offer and then began fierce negotiations to obtain a price in line with its clients’ budget while reaching agreement on the conditions.

‘Protect and serve’

An irregularity was brought to light: years earlier, one of the rooms in the apartment had been added, taken from the apartment next door. Although everything seemed to be in order in terms of urban planning, the modification was not noted in the basic deed. In particular, this meant that the shares for the breakdown of the charges had not been adjusted.

Changing a basic deed is a long, drawn-out process. In conjunction with the notary, BuyerSide therefore focused carefully on the problem and made sure the situation was set out in detail in the deed of ownership so as to protect the buyers as much as possible.

Impeccable support

An agreement was reached and the provisional sales agreement and the deed of sale were finally signed.
But BuyerSide's mission did not end there. It was also important to support the clients and advise them as well as possible on the many procedures they had to go through: from discussions with banks to the choice of removal firm as well as re-reading and explaining the details of all the joint ownership documents, BuyerSide was able to offer its clients a total, attentive service.
